The UC Davis Violence Prevention Research Program (VPRP) is a multidisciplinary program of research and policy development focused on the causes and consequences of violence. They place a particular emphasis on firearm violence and on the connections between violence, substance abuse and mental illness. Their research program on firearm violence is internationally recognised as among the best of its kind.
